A Brief Relief

Gray skies looked ominous

Smoke-filled air must be descending

Is there a wildfire app to check?

As I opened the weather app

Blue streaks under the clouds

Striking in their simplicity

Air quality in the green spectrum

Meant something different

Or familiar, but forgotten

It's here as not promised

I heave a sigh of brief relief.
